Create a design and find your way around the designer
The designer is where you build what appears on screen. This guide gets you from “Create Your Design” to a working knowledge of the editor layout.
Create a new design
- Open Designs. Under Create Your Design, choose the format that matches your screen: Portrait, Landscape, Social, Video Wall or Banner.
Choose a format before starting the design. - Enter a Design name. Pick a ready-made Template or a Blank layout, then select Create Design.
Starting a blank Landscape design. - To open an existing design later, select its preview in the library and choose Open Designer.
The editor at a glance
Left-hand tools
Add text, library images and videos, backgrounds, shapes, your own uploads, products, templates and icons. Opening a tool shows its options next to the toolbar.
Top editing bar
Its controls change with whatever is selected. Click text to see fonts and Animate; click an image to see image tools. A greyed-out control usually needs a selection first.
Canvas and selection
Click an object to select it and drag to move it. Use the resize handles and the rotation handle. Click an empty area to deselect.
Zoom and history
The zoom controls at the bottom change your view, not the design's dimensions. Use Undo and Redo to step back through recent edits.
Match the format to the screen. A Landscape design on a Portrait screen will not fill the display. If you're unsure how a screen is mounted, check its orientation in Devices.
